Recreational and Progression Package
Beginning Windsurfers: Look here for everything you will need to get started windsurfing in one package. Boards that are stable and friendly and rigs that are light and easy to use for beginning and intermediate windsurfers.

Longboards and hybids
These boards have centerboards, so they will emphasize performance in lighter wind and are also better for people just starting out. Also included in this category is the Starboard Serenity, a light air machine. This board is quite fast in light wind 2-11 knots and SOO efficent through the water! Not really suited for beginning windsurfers. But this board is one of my favorites.

Masts
When purchasing a mast you pick the size and the carbon content. The mast length is detemined by the sail you will be using it with. The carbon content is a little more complicated. The higher the carbon content, the less the mast weighs. A lighter mast is easier to handle and less tiring to use.  Typically your sail reacts better as you move up in carbon content. 100% carbon masts are extremely light, but usually used just by racers as they are much more expensive. The 75% carbon masts are high quality masts and a good balance between weight and price. 55% carbon masts are a good choice when price is more of a factor, still lighter than a 30% and cheaper than a 75%. For any mast longer than a 460cm, I would recommend a 75% carbon mast. 30% carbon masts are a good option when price is the main concern.

Mast Extensions and Bases
There are two main different designs of mast extensions, base cup and euro pin. If starting from the beginning, I would recommend Euro-pin as it is easier to deal with.
